“Illiteracy affects all areas of life and has a profound impact on the future economic growth in St. Louis. Those with low literacy skills are far more likely to live in poverty, face health problems, and grow isolated in a world increasingly dependent on computers.”

Words From the Community

A fundamental building block to ensuring a child is set up for success in life is literacy.  Ensuring all our children are literate is not up to one neighborhood or one school building or one school district, it’s a challenge that our whole community must embrace for the sake of the wellbeing of our young people and the vibrancy of the region.
